Week 26-Zone Conference And 6 Months!!

Image
Hello everyone!! Today was a big week!!  On Tuesday the Judds came to Mutare for Zone Conference and Interviews.  The theme of this Zone Conference was The Book of Mormon!!!  It was honestly incredible. I already loved the BoM so much but after Zone Conference I definitely had a new appreciation for it.  Sister Whitlock (one of the office missionaries) came to Mutare for ZC and it absolutely made my day!  She's my favourite and I hadn't seen her since the day I left for Mutare. On Wednesday I had exchanges.  Sister Malabi came to Chikanga and we had such a good day!  We found two new people and they are actually solid.  My companion and I have taught them both multiple times and it's been incredible.  On Sunday my comp and I left the house super early to go walk one of our friends, Tsitsi Maipaka to church.  She's one of the new people we found on exchanges.  She ended up bringing her daughter too and it was amazing!  After chu...

Week 25

This week we had a slower week in the area.  Not many people were able to have lessons, and finding was rough.  Yesterday when we started church I was on the stand conducting the music because the only people there so far were the branch presidents family and a few others.  During the sacrament I felt so discourage and just started praying to know what I could do to help this branch as well as my area keep progressing.   After sacrament meeting one of our youth, Brother Walter, walked up to us with his friend that had been coming to church with him these last few weeks.  He said "missionaries,  I need to talk to you.  As my friend and I were walking to church he told me that he wants to get baptised and is wondering when he can start taking the lessons."  God is so good.  Brother Munashe is amazing, and I am beyond excited to start teaching him this week! This week with the ZHM BoM challenge went so well!  I encourage you all to spe...

I don't know if I can keep calling these weeklys haha, but here's a little update from the past three weeks! We had transfers and I'm training!  My companion is Sister Rasolomanana from Madagascar and we have the best time together.   She's just learning English, so communication is still a bit tricky, but she's working so hard and improving so much. Last pday our district went on the most gorgeous drive up a mountain to a boujee hotel to have lunch.  The food was way overpriced and not that great, but it was so pretty so its okay!!  We also got to see Mozambique from the top! The work has been going a little slowly here in Chikanga, but my comp and I have been working hard and we've been able to find a couple pretty elect people that we are excited to keep teaching. On the 12th our mission started reading through the Book of Mormon together.  We each got a hard copy from Sister Judd with our names on them.  We read 5 pages per day circling all referen...
