Week 38!!

Image
Hello everyone! Mamuka sei?! This week was wild. To start it off we got a call from our STLs last Sunday at 4pm and they said "President and Sister Judd called and said we have to go on exchanges with you both right now. We'll be there in 2 hours." Uhhh so we literally had exchanges from Sunday night to Monday morning which was a PDay so we only went to the area for 3 hours. It was so weird. All we know is that something was going on between our STLs because pres said "Baker and Mpofu are the best companionship that's ever been in Mutare. You two need to learn from them." Uhhh we are both still so confused haha. But I was able to be in Chikanga with Sister Moyo who I lived with (almost) my first transfer here in Zim so it was a party! My companion and I have been sick the past 2 weeks and we have no idea why or how. But we're both stubborn for better or for worse, so we kept going to the area until our STLs called us on Thursday and said we wernt allowed...

Week 37- Victoria Falls

Hello everyone!! Keeping it short this week. It seems like God has been trying to test our patience again this week, because everyone was bouncing us again. But we labored diligently and still saw miracles!! Throwback to my transfer in the Utah Layton Mission. When I was on exchanges with Sister Munk we saw this man trying to push his car to the curb after it had broken down. He seemed doubtful that we would ve able to help, but we got er done after that small act of service Cameron completely opened up to us. He told us about how he had recently lost family members and friends and was actually a less active member of our church. We were able to listen and testify to him. Something in him changed and he started coming back to church!! Fast forward to a couple days ago. Everyone was bouncing us so my comp and I decided to do finding in Chikomo. We ran into this man struggling to push his car (dejavu) and offered to help. He was so grateful and him and I pushed his car out onto the road ...

Week 36- Ebola

Hi everyone! Keeping it short this week:) Our water disappeared for 4 days straight this week and we have no idea why haha.  Right after it came back I went to shower and zesa (electricity) left.  But yes, I absolutely still showered in the dark. I went on exchanges in Mutare Town again and with Sister Rodriguez again!!  Wow I love her so much.   There was an Ebola outbreak in Uganda and so they sent a bunch of the Zimbabwean missionaries back to their home country.  Our mission got a ton of new missionaries and one of them is coming to be in a trio with the Sakubva Sisters.  Which means there will be 5 of us in this small house haha.  We have no idea when she's coming anymore though because she missed her flight from Uganda.  I think it might officially be rainy season here because its rained almost everyday for the past week.  Only downside is that the clothes that I hand-wash and hang outside to dry don't actually dry now...
