Week 32- Transfers

Mamuka Sei,

This week was so good. My compa and I have been GRINDING with our less active work and yesterday we really got to see the fruits of our labors. We had probably close to 70 people at church yesterday when we usually average 30. We had so many of our less active families there including our 1st Councillor in the branch presidency who came for the first time since I've been here. We also had 6 of our friends that we are teaching come to church and 5 of them came on their own. We FINALLY got to have Sister Kelly's baptism after church after it being cancelled twice. Almost the whole branch came to support her and the spirit was so strong. I was definitely in tears. We had our returned missionary Ngoni baptise her and it was such a special day.

It was SO hot this past week but we definitely saw so many miracles in our area as we committed to staying out full time.

Friday night we had transfers calls and guess who is staying for a FOURTH transfer in Chikanga. That would be me. I need prayers haha. The good news is Sister Mpofu and I are staying together which I could not be happier about! She will be my first companion I've had for longer than 1 transfer which is exciting. Sister Treese left me last night to go be an STL in the South Zone. I haven't cried that hard since I left the ULM to come here. But I'm so grateful we had 5 months together. Sister Moyo G from my first area in Zim is going to be my STL here so I am soooooo excited about that!!

All in all it was such a good week with a couple hard goodbyes. But I'm ready to push myself this next transfer and see many of the fruits if my labors:)

In our mission we have something called our United Prayer of Faith. Each person in the mission sets their phone alarm for 9:58am each day and we all kneel to pray for 3 specific things.
1- that we will see miracles through our increased faith and obedience
2-that our members will prepare to enter the temple and receive a recommend
3- that we will be able to find self reliant YSA, men and families to teach.

I have seen countless blessings and miracles from this prayer and am so grateful for the way it has changed my mission. So if you ever find yourself awake at 1:58am MST you are more than welcome to join us!! :)

I love you all so much

Sister Baker
