Week 49- BACK IN THE PROMISED LAND OF THE UTAH LAYTON MISSION
HIIIII EVERYONE!!!!!
Oh. My. Goodness. I am so happy to be here!! After almost 3 months at home, I was finally able to get set apart again as a full-time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. And to make things even more exciting I am BACK IN MY REASSIGNMENT!!! let's just say that President Johnson is a man that can get things done. I'm SO excited to serve here again until it's time for me to go back to Zim!! (OH, and to all my friends in Zim. Sister Washburn is a gem and we will see you soon!!!:)
We have been absolutely GRINDING this week and I have never been happier!! My cutie comp is Sister Miller!! She has an incredible story. Last week she came home after serving in the California Fresno Mission for a year to finish off as a service missionary here in Layton where she lives!! This mission pilots projects for the church all the time, and one of the new programs they are working on is having service Missionaries transition to being full-time prostelyting Missionaries near home so they can still prostelyte but also have the support they need from home!! Needless to say this is NOT what president told me was gonna be happening but I'm loving it.
I am serving in the Layton Hills Stake IN LAYTON!!! Kinda cool. We are both new to this mission and area so we are whitewashing ahhhh. They keep making me do this everything I come to this mission hahaha! The members and ward auxiliary have just been incredible and I am so excited for the rest of this transfer. I've met some fellow Canadians and also a couple from Sierra Leone who we were able to teach yesterday let's goooooo I was in my element.
Ohhhh also I live with cutie sisters Burleson and Wright and they are both pretty new on mission and I love them so much!!
Spiritual thought: in my personal study I have been reading in Mosiah with the words of King Benjamin. And to sum up what I read today he was telling his people to BE KIND!! Even if it's not easy or convenient. I invite you all to do the same!
