Week 67- Craziest Week Of My Life
Kaselehlie!!
Ahhhhh the craziest week just happened and it's not gonna get any less crazy. Sister Kaiea left for Fiji on Tuesday so we were at the Mission Office all day getting her stuff ready. Then she leaves with Sister Koaa who was going there as well. So Sister Koaas companion and I are like uhhhh what do we do now. So we go find President Johnson and he tells us that were gonna be comps and we are combining our areas. Wut. So my new comp is SISTER ALATI!! She is the best. She is literally the same person as my favorite companion from Zim. We have SO much fun together!
So I now cover 15 wards AND the MICRONESIAN BRANCH!! I have barely 3 months left on my mission and I've been called to learn a language. Not just one. 5 languages... our main focus is Pohnpeian however we also take care of Marshallese, Chuukese, kosrian, and Yapese. It's been wild. I love it though. I got to go to the branch today and it was so much fun. It feels like I'm serving in another country. Because of the branch our area is this entire mission as well as the Ogden mission. On Saturday night we were able to go with a sister from the branch up to Ogden to take out her endowments. It was amazing.
This week we only had a little bit of time in our area because of moving and trying to work everything out with almost no guidance and information. But it's been the most stressful/fun thing ever. I'm so grateful for this new opportunity!!
Last night my new stake in Clearfield had a youth missionary fireside that President and Sister Johnson spoke at. Their talks were amazing and we got to help answer the youths questions. If you are considering serving a mission, DO IT!!
A scripture we all read together was 3 Nephi 5:13. It reminded me of how we say our missionary purpose in the ZHM. "Behold I am a disciple of Jesus Christ. I have been called of HIM to declare HIS word among HIS people that they might have everlasting life." Therefore I will invite others to come unto Christ by helping them recieve the restored Gospel through faith in Jesus Christ and his Atonement, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end.
This truly is HIS work and I am so grateful to be a part of it!!
